Woodside Priory, located in the scenic Barony of Tir-y-don, in the glorious Kingdom of Atlantia, is the home brewing and historical research endeavor of several members of the Society for Creative Anachronism, or SCA.   We are both medieval re-creationists and home brewers and so have decided to combine our two hobbies, in effort to understand and recreate beverages from the middle ages that are both historically accurate and delicious.

We have adopted the persona of a monastic organization because the monks of the middle ages were renowned for the high quality of their beer.  None of us is a member of a religious order and we strive to treat all religions with respect.

It should be noted that we are amateurs, both as historians and as brewers.  We have set up this web page to chronicle our research and brewing efforts so that others can share in the journey and learn along with us.
